THE FACTS ABOUT NATURACTOR.

  THE FACTS ABOUT NATURACTOR

Price:
Prices may vary.. I bought mine at www.naturactorfoundation.com.

Number of Shades:
5 shades only but their shades are quiet perfect for all skin tone.

Claim:
Revolutionary liquid transforms on contact, leaving a soft powder like finish. This foundation is so amazingly lightweight it's like wearing no makeup at all!

Shade that I used:
Shade #130

Shades and the foundation itself:
I decided to purchase this in #130, because #130 looked way too light. Yes, you read that correctly, the foundation is incredibly thin. It's a straight up cream, not like any other cream foundation you have probably ever used, this flows like powder.

It's actually very easy to control and makes application, which I'll touch on below, a bit difficult. It also smells like it has fragrance in it.

Coverage:
The coverage on this foundation is sheer to light depending on how much you apply. At a max, and I mean max, it would be considered light.

Wear Time:
Whenever I use this Naturactor. I barely retouch. I see no oil and cakes in my face. It also stays in my face for over 8 hours.

You can see in the pictures above, the areas of my skin that were already ok looking, have just been smoothed out a bit. For the second picture, I applied Naturactor on my face, and see the difference???
You can't see my blemishes anymore. It looks like my face became so clean and all. I really love it.

Final Verdict:
This has lighter coverage than any of my other foundations and that includes BB creams and tinted moisturizers. If you are looking for something very lightweight and with very light coverage, then this might be the foundation for you.

This product is a YES for me.

DHC Revitalising Moisture Strips

  DHC Revitalising Moisture Strips

Photo from DHC
My eyes lately have been looking pretty tired, I have not been getting much sleep for a while, so I am always looking a little rundown.  This meant it was the perfect time to try these DHC Revitalising Moisture Strips. They contain Aloe to refresh,  olive leaf extract to hydrate and Soy to firm. You get 6 pouches which contain 2 strips in each, these have an RRP of £6.95

They were unlike anything I have ever tried, I thought they'd be very flimsy and paper-like. They really were not. They had a soft layer of fabric on one side and a cold refreshing gel layer on the other side. The instructions recommend to put them under your eyes for 20-30 minutes after cleansing. I did this twice a week. I have to say when I had them on I felt very relaxed, they were very cooling on my skin.

The effect after I used them was amazing. My skin felt smoother, it looked healthier and has a slight glow to it that it didn't have before. My skin did feel very hydrated and quenched too, so I was really impressed. Sadly these effects were temporary, it didn't last very long (3-4 hours max) For my skin they did work, but not for as long as I would have liked. I think maybe next time I should try leave them on all night for some intense conditioning, but for a quick fix it just didn't work for me.

Smiggle Where A Smile Meets A Giggle

Smiggle Where A Smile Meets A Giggle

Smiggle Is an Australian brand that has just launched in the UK. It specialises in stationary and technology (e.g. Headphones).

When is comes down to stationary I am a total geek! For some reason I find stationary shopping as fun as shoe shopping, and anyone who know me knows that shoe shopping is my favourite past time, after all it was Marilyn Monroe who said 'Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!' Anyways (off topic) you can imagine how excited I was when I started to use and test some of Smiggle's stationary!
I am currently studying my GCSEs I actually found out I only have 40 school days left till I start taking my exams and I received my official exam time table today (I will be finished with school forever on June 19th) but for now this means it's hardcore revision! I am talking posters everywhere, flashcards stuck to my fridge and sticky notes stuck all around the screen of my Mac. Like a lot of students, colours really help make the important bits stand out, which is why these 30 Gel pens are perfect! Filled with smelly, glitter and pastel gel pens, there is no way that the symbol equation for Photosynthesis won't get stuck in my head. I love the smelly ones, not only do my revision notes look amazing the smell it too! I did however find one or two colours that didn't seem to work, but I have a pack of 30 I still have 28 fabulous colours left!
These big chunky headphones are the ultimate accessory for doing my art GCSE exam sketch book. They block out pretty much all sound around me (which is what I need when I am working) and allow me to get lost into the world of music and art. The bass on them is amazing too, there is no nasty tinny sound, only crystal clear music ( The Beatles, Rolling stones, Arctic Monkeys and Bowie with a little Adam and the Ants thrown in there). They are also adjustable which is really helpful if you have a big head like me! I did find that after about 2 hours of wearing them non stop I did start to get a little head ache, but I think part of that is down to my poor eye sight and concentrating too long! Did I mention they look totally fabulous and trendy!?

How cute is this Lolly Pop Rubber!?

When revising I am always in need of LOTS of stationary! This orange zippy pencil case is beyond amazing, I have never seen anything like it! very clever. Although I never know which zip to open, and end up opening a zip right at the bottom allowing all my stationary to fall out - oops!
I always seem to lose my rubbers, so this massive rubber for 'really big mistakes' is great I will never have to worry about misplacing my rubber again! same with this very cute orange Lolly Pop rubber (which matches the pencil case) how could I possible lose something as sweet as this?
The blue calculator and ruler will be perfect for my maths exam and the sharpener is great for everything.
I feel all the above are the necessities of a pencil case, to be truly organised, which is really important at GCSEs. Even if your not taking GCSEs you could still have so much fun with all these bits and bobs! Smiggle have lots of other amazing things, why not have a look at their website.

DKNY Be Delicious

DKNY Be Delicious

DKNY Be Delicious is widely known across the world, and rightly so. The dark vivid green and apple shaped bottle is hard to forget. The Roundness of the bottle is lovely to clasp in the hand, and I have never seen another green perfume before, I love the fact that it's green in my opinion, perfume should smell good and look pretty, and Be Delicious ticks all the boxes!

As soon as you smell it, it's clear that there is the lovely green apple smell. It's light and fruity, it has the right balance of musk and sweetness which makes it the perfect fragrance to wear anywhere at any time of day. A city girl, a school girl or a working woman could wear this and it would fit perfectly with them, the scent is versatile which I find is rare in perfumes. In the top notes there is the unique and very special American Apple smell, this was created especially for DKNY, so it is going to be hard to replicate this gorgeous scent, making it even more special and niche.

In the top notes contain Cucumber, Grapefruit and White Magnolia, giving the fruity scent. There are hints of Tuberose with White Muguet, Rose and Violet as well as Sandalwood. As you can see there are hints of exotic flowers, fruit and musky wood, that combines and balances on another out.

The scent lasts for hours and is not to heavy, a 50ml bottle retails for £48.00 which for a scent that can be worn by everyone at anytime is pretty reasonable. I personally love it the most after about an hour of wearing it, it's quite fruity once it's just been sprayed but after it has dried and been worn a little, I can't get enough!

How cute are these Cake pops that cam with my package! They look as good as they tasted!

Frolicking on the Frow of Bernard Chandran

Frolicking on the Frow of Bernard Chandran

Pandemonia on the Frow too

Yesterday was surreal, something I had always dreamed of came true. I went adventuring off to London Fashion Week yesterday and I had so many incredible and unique experiences that what was going to be a a 2 part post has become a four part post.

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to get some backstage invites from Toni & Guy for Hema Kaul and Ashley Isham. I was a little eager when arriving at Freemasons hall and I arrived right at the start of the call time, which meant everything was still being set up, so we had some time to kill. Rose (a very lovely and AMAZING pr girl for Toni & guy) was guiding us about, asked if we wanted to watch Bernard Chandran with her while we wait, the obvious answer was yes!!! Turns out these seats were on the Frow, which meant I had an amazing view of the AW14/15 collection. Toni & Guy did not style this hair but I will be writing about them in the next part of these posts.

The show started with some clanging of symbols and drum beats, the lights when dark and it began.

I have to say I am impressed with this collection. In my mind it captures the evolution of the working woman, embracing and celebrating that the emancipation of ladies, the colourful tailored leather suits and dresses inspired by tuxedos with hints of bright blue, pink and green showed the femininity of women and the leather and more muted shades of brown, grey and black reflect the fact women are just as capable as men and can be as harsh as them too. It's a feminist way to look at it I know!
I am in love with these shoes, they look sleek and elegant and more importantly they look comfy, the fine detail that has gone into each dress and design is definitely shown and you can really see the care, love and attention that has made this collection happen.
Each model had contoured cheeks, hair in a half up half down style, nude lips and nude nails. It was elegant and minimalist it didn't take anything away from the clothes only complimented them.

By the look on everyone's faces the show looked like a success! I have to say I was blown away with this "sexy mod attitude with menswear inspired tailoring" collection.
A leather cape! I think I need this in my life!

Be Delicious City Blossom Fragrance

Be Delicious City Blossom Fragrance

DKNY was created and launched by Donna Karan in 1989. It was in 2004 that DKNY Be Delicious launches, it was the first to extract an apple's juice for it's scent alone, it created this magical and gorgeous perfume. In January 2013 DKNY Be Delicious obtained more than 1,000,000 fans on Facebook and is now one of the largest fragrance communities in the world.

But it is February 1st  2014 that I will be focusing on and the launch of their new the limited edition scents 'City Blossom.' I was actually very lucky as I managed to get my hands on a 50ml bottle just before the launch, but have not been able to blog about it till now as I have been putting it through it's paces.

There are three new scents in this limited edition range; Rooftop Peony, Urban Violet and Empire Apple. The range is inspired by the growing popularity of rooftop gardens. For me as a New York lover I was instantly excited, there is noting more than I want to hang out and chill on a rooftop garden in New York and see those big towering skyscrapers surrounding me. So to find a perfume that captures the smell and essence of that experience is magical and a very unique concept.

The Fragrance I will be focusing on is Urban Violet. It comes in the classic round apple bottle, which feels so nice to clasp in the hand. The perfume is a rich but light purple liquid which is definitely pleasing to the eye.
Urban Violet has top notes of Mandarin, Blackberry, Raspberry and Red Delicious Apple Blossom. Accents of Rose, Freesia and Violet and finally base notes of Sandalwood, Orris and Musk.

I love how the fruity and floral tones put together create this light, sophisticated fragrance.
I have been wearing this fragrance since the day I received it. I love the Violet smell to it is subtle not too overpowering at all, it mixes beautifully with the DKNY apple scent that is also in it. I was really impressed with it, I often find that some violet smelling perfumes can be overpowering or worse smell like an old lady! It's safe to say this definitely does not smell like an old lady! Quite the opposite, the smell is fresh and trendy, it's girly and sweet but at the same time sophisticated and professional, it's one of those fragrances that you can wear to any occasion, and just smell fabulous!

A 50ml bottle of the City Blossom EDT can be purchased for £37 which I think is an amazing price for such a versatile fragrance and in such a good sized bottle too!  The perfume is out now, but remember it's limited edition, so make sure you can get your hands on it while it's stile available!
